New Samurize config

After many hours of work, I’ve finally finished my new Samurize config! Now it’s a bit smaller than the one I had before, but I can change what it shows by clicking on the small icons (the camera icon and the icons next to it)! It looks like this:

The calendar and events are fetched from the Mozilla Calendar, which I’m currently using. The todolist is just a textfile though. If I click on a photo in the slideshow, it changes the desktop wallpaper to that photo! Making all of those stuff work was quite hard work. *sigh*

Also, lately I’ve been playing Nanaca Crash quite a bit too much. It’s kind of a sports game, where you have to hit the ball as far as possible. The difference is that the ball is actually an unlucky guy, and also it can get boosts by crashing into specific people. My current top score is:

One of the more interesting aspects of this game is getting some of the special boosts. Some are somewhat easy to get, but others require you to hit people in a specific order. Gotta get them all!

Nothing to see here

I guess I seldom do anything out of the ordinary, or I’m just too lazy to update this website, but it seems I haven’t updated in about two weeks, or three weeks if you don’t count the post about meat. Not that anyone cares, since it seems like 90% of my page hits are from msnbot and inktomisearch.

Anyhow, the picture to the right is of my new avatar, which shows my WhatPulse statistics. WhatPulse is a program which counts how many times I’ve pressed a key on my keyboard and clicked with my mouse since I installed the program, which was on February 2nd. It also sends the info to the WhatPulse site, so I can compare my statistics with other people. It’s totally useless, but it’s somewhat interesting to see some of the information. For example, for some people, the mouse click count is about the same as key count, while for me it’s about 1/4th or 1/5th. Using the mouse too much is bad for your arm.

Meat!

./imgs/cellpics/meatmarket.jpg

Meat, meat, everywhere the eye can see!

This meat market in Sheung Shui is quite remarkable. Of course, there are normal supermarkets with normal plastic packaged meat too, but when I’m in Hong Kong, my grandmother always buys food in a building dedicated for food sales booths like the one in the picture. There was one floor for meat and fish, and one floor for vegetables, fruits and some other stuff.

Some interesting things I’ve seen in that place is a fish that was wriggling after being cut in half, a cow’s head, and dried food from things that I didn’t really recognize.
